John Meyer
Technical Manager, Carpenter Powder Products
John Meyer is Technical Manager for Carpenter Powder Products where he manages the powder metallurgy group for their five powder production facilities worldwide. He holds a B.S. in Materials Engineering and M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Iowa State University where his thesis research under Dr. Iver Anderson was on industrial gas atomization design for oxide dispersion strengthened powder. He has worked in the ultra-fine electrical conductor industry and worked in powder research and development at Carpenter Technology prior to his current role. He is a member of the Metal Powder Industries Federation Technical Board and serves as the Materials Subcommittee Chairman for the SAE Aerospace Material Systems – Additive Manufacturing standards committee.
